International Education Travel Trips-Spring 2026 Northfield High School is preparing for 5 international trips: Health Sciences in Great Britain, Japan, The Alps and Mediterranean Coast, Treasures of Central Europe, and Greece (Spring Break 2027). Each trip will have its own focus on careers, culture, and/or architecture in these amazing places for students to broaden their minds and wonder at the world. See below for more information about each trip.
Health Sciences in Great Britain: Journey back to a time when the plague was at its prime and surgery doubled as entertainment as you explore the underground streets of Edinburgh and try your hand at a forensic workshop in London. Trace the innovations that shaped Britain’s modern healthcare landscape, and participate in hands-on workshops to discover how real-life medical careers operate through this amazing tour.
Japan:
Neon lights pulse and shine on century-old temples, monks walk alongside anime cosplayers, and Zen meditation is practiced in the same parks that people take selfies. It may sound chaotic, but Japan has perfected the balance of ancient and modern. A better understanding of Buddhism and Shinto, higher truth, or just a measure of inner peace await you on this meditative journey through the tranquil side of Japanese culture.
The Alps and Mediterranean Coast:
Each stop on your journey will leave you awe-inspired—from the tranquility of lakes Lucerne and Como, to the Mediterranean shores of Cinque Terre and Nice, to the culture and architecture of Provence and Barcelona. Museums will always have their place, but sometimes it’s what’s outside that really takes your breath away.
Treasures of Central Europe:
Every city in Central Europe has its own character, its own mood, its own experience to offer. In Prague and Budapest, it’s the architectural beauty that captures your attention. In Berlin, you’re pulled in by the pivotal history that’s taken place there. In Munich and Vienna, it’s the charm of the cobblestone streets, wide boulevards and bustling town squares.
Greece (Spring Break 2027):
When you reach the top of the Acropolis and look out across Athens, history stands still. In the shadows of the Parthenon’s mighty 2,400-year-old columns, the only sound you hear is the ancient gravel beneath your feet. Your connection to antiquity hits home as you sail the Aegean Sea, where Naxos & Santorini bring new discoveries and timeless lessons.
Fundraiser Purpose: To offset the costs of each trip. Students are registered under the trips they are raising money for and funds will be applied accordingly.
